Young Farmers Apprenticeship
For a new generation of agripreneurs
Orchids Institute facilitates the exchange and dissemination of agricultural skills and practices through its Apprenticeship program.
The purpose of the program is to expand opportunities for employment for youth in agriculture through providing skills needed by the industry, job placement and provision of business support services to those who seek self-employment.
Agriculture apprenticeship is a hands-on vocational training, targeted at equipping trainees with the knowledge, skills, attitudes they need to succeed in the Agribusiness world.
Program Duration:
The program runs for a period of three months onsite after which graduates are placed in Agricultural enterprises and continuous upskilling provided through coaching visits in the enterprises.
Curriculum:
Orchid is registered with BTVET and uses an industry led, market driven and competency based approach to deliver this broad training program.
